http://www.nme.com/news/lamb-of-god/65306 I read this review because I was keen to find out about one of my favourite vocalists who had been in a position which he shouldn't have been in and I was very interested to find out a lot more about it and this was the best review I had found.

Here is an article I read about the death of one of my favourite vocalists, who died on Halloween night in the early hours of the 1st November, I decided to read this as Mitch Lucker was one of my biggest inspirations and I was really upset to hear the news. http://loudwire.com/suicide-silence-frontman-mitch-lucker-killed-in-motorcycle-accident/

Smashed Hits

Smashed Hits first started in 1978 and was one of the largest music magazines last century. Released every fortnight to a target audience of mainly female teens who enjoyed the free pull out posters of their favourite artists that they put on their walls. Due to the loss of public interest in the 90s, Smashed Hits decided to call it a day on their magazine in February 2006. The lack of content and similar articles every issue began to bore their audience and sales were plummeting significantly. The magazine assumed their target audience were mostly teenage girls, so they decided to cater for them, however it appeared that the majority of their audience was in fact males and tomboys and that is where they lost the most sales. As they could no longer put lyrics in their magazine due to dance music becoming very mainstream in the 90s, they lost many sales from that too. While Smashed Hits ceased their magazine, they still continue to air their music channel, which was more successful than their magazine. If Smashed Hits had decided to be more clever and put exclusive information in their magazine that you couldn't find anywhere else, they would have continued to make sales, however they didn't and dropped from 500.000 sales every issue to just 120,000.
